MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS:

• All Contractors and Subcontractors must be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) at Bid Time.
• Prevailing Wage Project.

SUBCONTRACTOR PREQUALIFICATION:

• Subcontractors with C-4, C-7, C-10, C-16, C-20, C-34, C-36, C-38, C-42, C-43, or C-46 licenses must be prequalified with the Sweetwater Unified School District.  
• The Prequalification application is available at the SUHSD Purchasing Website, under the Contractor Prequalification tab. For information regarding the prequalification process, please contact Mr. Donald Prince at (619) 691-5540 or email at Bids@sweetwaterschools.org. 
• The Contractor & Subcontractor Prequalification application is due Purchasing no less than TEN (10) calendar days prior to bid opening.

PROJECT LABOR AGREEMENT:

• The District has entered into a Project Labor Agreement (PLA) that is applicable to this Project. The PLA is available for reference at the following link: https://www.dol.gov/general/good-jobs/project-labor-agreement-resource-guide which includes the Letter of Assent.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: 

• Demolition of existing buildings 105, 900, 409, 410, 512, 513, 514, 515, 516 and overhead canopy extending from the cafeteria to building 900.
• Utilities to be relocated to be relocated from the top of the canopy to underground. 
• Resurfacing of pavement where buildings have been demoed. 
• New Single Story multi-purpose room with 30” high platform, storage and multiple stall restrooms and single occupancy restrooms. New single story student services and special education building comprised of offices, conference room, counseling center, special education classrooms ad accessory areas.
• Outdoor play area for special education.  New student entrance onto the campus to be moved to Halo Street. 
• Existing marquee to be replaced.  Resurfacing and restriping of existing parking lot. 
• New Landscaping around new buildings, campus entry and center of campus.  New fencing around perimeter of new buildings.  Building 600, 700 and 800 require replacing the existing backbone cabling with new backbone cabling (copper and fiber, in-kind) to re-establish the building’s existing network connectivity. 
• In addition, new backbone cabling from the MDF to the new two new idfs, located in the MPR building and the student services building.  The new backbone cabling will originate from the exiting mdf in building 100.
