PROJECT DETAILS:
The services will include Program/Project Management including but not limited to to the initiating, planning, executing, monitoring and controlling and closing processes for a capital project. Work may include tasks in the following areas: Scope; Schedule; Cost; Resource; Risk (including qualitative and quantitative analysis); Quality; Communication; Stakeholder involvement; Integration; Project scheduling; Project coordination; Program Management; Project Management processes; Project Management Plans and Financial Management Plans (including Cost Estimate Reviews (CER)) in compliance with FHWA regulations for Major and/or High Profile Projects; all necessary work to obtain FHWA approval on behalf of Caltrans for CER, PMP and FP including phone calls, meetings, multiple document revisions and any other communications necessary to achieve final FHWA approval of said documents, on an “as-needed” basis to support the Department of Transportation (Caltrans), Division of Program/Project Management, District 5 from Project Approval and Environmental Document (PA&ED, 0-) phase through the completion of the Construction phase (including closeout) of Capital Outlay projects, in the development and construction of proposed Caltrans transportation facilities. Firms interested must be within a commutable distance to the Caltrans District 5 office (San Luis Obispo/Santa Barbara County). Similar work for Caltrans or other agencies located within District 5 is strongly recommended.
