PROJECT DETAILS:

All General Contractors and Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing Subcontractors that are bidding on this project must be on the approved District Pre-Qualification List prior seven (7) days prior to submitting a bid proposal or the bid will be deemed non-responsive. Contractor’s Registration with the California Department of Industrial Relations. A contractor or subcontractor is not qualified to bid on, or be listed in a bid proposal, subject to the requirements of Section 4104 of the California Public Contract Code, or engage in the performance of any contract for public work, as defined by the California Labor Code, unless currently registered and qualified to perform public work pursuant to California Labor Code section 1725.5. However, it is not a violation of law if an unregistered contractor submits a bid that is authorized by California Business and Professions Code section 7029.1 or by Section 20103.5 of the California Public Contract Code, provided the contractor is registered to perform public work pursuant to California Labor Code section 1725.5 at the time the contract is awarded. A contract entered into with any contractor or subcontractor in violation of subdivision (a) of California Labor Code section 1771.1 is subject to cancellation, provided that a contract for public work shall not be unlawful, void, or voidable solely due to the failure of the District, contractor, or any subcontractor to comply with the requirements of California Labor Code section 1725.5 or Labor Code section 1771.1.
