PROJECT DETAILS:
The NSIT project involves the construction of a conveyance and storage tunnel system to control CSOs on the north side of Akron, OH. Main features of work on the project include: Construction of 6,600 lf of 16.5 dia segmentally lined mainline tunnel, 2,200 lf of 96" segmentally lined tunnel, construction of numerous structures and baffle drop shafts, drilled shafts, misc. large diameter and small diameter piping, large diameter valve supply/installation and construction of a 50’x 26’ control building. In addition to the main features of work, there would also be temporary and permanent electrical installations, permanent mechanical installations, paving and restoration work.
