Quotations must be valid for the same duration as specified by the Owner for contract award. Subcontractor's scope (including any conditions or exceptions) is required with bid. It is recommended that interested subcontractors and suppliers contact KIWC to discuss scope and quantities. Subcontractors are required to indicate all lower-tier Diverse Business participants offered on their quotation. Subcontractor's scope must be based on the project reference documents provided. KIWC makes its best attempt to provide subcontractors and suppliers with the most complete and accurate project information for bidding purposes. However, KIWC is not responsible for the accuracy of the drawings, specifications, addenda and related bid documents. Subcontractors and suppliers are responsible for obtaining all the information necessary to provide a responsible and accurate quote.  Please provide your current Experience Modification Rate (EMR) with your quote.

A Domestic Content Procurement Preference will apply to this Project. All iron or steel products, manufactured products, and construction materials used in the Project are required to be produced in the United States, unless Owner approves of alternates in writing. Subcontractor agrees to familiarize itself with the applicable BABA requirements (available at Build America, Buy America Act Provisions, hud.gov) and will familiarize itself with additional guidance and regulations as they become available. Subcontractor further agrees to endeavor to adhere to such provisions throughout the duration of the Work. The Owner has established a Diverse Business Participation Goal of 12%. Subcontractors must be properly licensed in the State of Idaho.

KIWC intends to seriously negotiate with qualified Diverse businesses for project participatin. To assist Diverse Business subcontractors and suppliers, KIWC will divide the work into smaller units to increase the likelihood of participation; referral assistance is available in obtaining bonds, lines of credit, insurance, or equipment. Your bid must include the cost of required minimum insurance: Commercial General Liability: $10,000,000 occurrence and $10,000,000 aggregate; Auto Liability: $2,000,000 CLS, Workers Comp/EL: $1,000,000. KIWC, Owner and any other required interested parties shall be listed as additional insured with a waiver of subrogaton on the workers compensation policy. Insurance companies must carry a minimum standard of AM Best rating of A-X and be licensed to do business in Idaho. KIWC intends to conduct itself in "Good Faith" with Diverse Business firms regarding participation on this project. This project is funded through the Creating Helpful Incentives to Produce Semi-Conductors for America Fund (the "CHIPS" Act of 2022). With these funds comes an increased level of reporting and oversight as well as BABA, Davis-Bacon and related acts, Diverse Business participation certified payroll, EEO, etc. We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
