Granite Construction Company (Granite) is requesting quotes from all qualified subcontractors and suppliers including certified DVBE firms for the following items of work, including but not limited to: LEAD COMPLIANCE PLAN; CONSTRUCTION AREA SIGNS; TRAFFIC CONTROL SYSTEM; PORTABLE CHANGEABLE MESSAGE SIGN; PREPARE WATER POLLUTION CONTROL PROGRAM; TEMPORARY FIBER ROLL; STREET SWEEPING; TEMPORARY HIGH VISIBILITY FENCE; HYDROMULCH; FIBER ROLLS, HYDROSEET; ASPHALT BINDER (GEOSYNTHETIC PAVEMENT INTERLAYER) (PAVING FABRIC); PLACE HMA DIKE TYPE E; TACK COAT; COLD PLANE AC PAVEMENT; RETROREFLECTIVE PAVEMENT MARKER; RESET ROADSIDE SIGN; RETROREFLECTIVE SHEETING TYPE XI; FURNISH SINGLE SHEET ALUMINUM SIGN; ROADSIDE SIGN; REMOVE, REPLACE THERMOPLASTIC TRAFFIC STRIPE; TRUCKING AND MATERIAL HAULING. Quotations will be broken down into comparable packages as reasonably necessary. Granite will work with interested subcontractors to identify opportunities to break down items into economically feasible packages.

For any bid proposal submitted on or after March 1, 2015 and any contract for public work entered into on or after April 1, 2015, the following registration requirements apply: Every Subcontractor is required to be registered to perform public work pursuant to Section 1725.5 of the Public Contract Code ("Section 1725.5"). No Contractor or Subcontractor shall be qualified to bid on, be listed in a bid proposal pursuant to Section 4104 of the Public Contract Code, or engage in the performance of any contract for public work, unless currently registered to perform public work pursuant to Section 1725.5. No bid shall be accepted nor any subcontract entered into without proof of the Subcontractor's current registration to perform public work pursuant to Section 1725.5. Granite Construction Company (Granite) is signatory to Operating Engineers, Laborers, Teamsters, Cement Masons and Carpenters unions. 100% performance and payment bonds may be required for the full amount of subcontract price. Granite will pay for bond premium up to 1.5%. Subcontractors must possess a current contractor's license, insurance and worker's compensation coverage meeting Granite's requirements and will be required to sign the standard Granite Subcontract Agreement. A copy of the insurance requirements and agreement can be obtained by contacting the estimator. Plans and specifications are available at Caltrans You'll need to log in and agree to a Non-Disclosure Agreement to access plans. Specifications are also available for viewing at our office located at 1324 S. State Street, Ukiah, CA. Portions of work can be made available upon request prior to bid date.
